Oregon Science Olympiad Tournament

... is open to all registered teams.  This competition is open to middle level and high school level teams from public schools, private schools, and homeschool organizations in the state of Oregon.  For information on forming a team or registering a team, please click here.  At this point, the Oregon Science Olympiad program does not host regional tournaments.  There is a B-division (middle school) Practice Tournament hosted by the Lebanon Community Schools in February, and various invitationals in the state of Washington which allow Oregon teams.

... Will be hosted by Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, on a Saturday in April (TBA soon).  Many thanks to this institution for providing our students with the opportunity to perform their tournament challenges at a top-notch place to "do science" in Oregon.

We appreciate hosting from OSU last year, and from George Fox University and Western Oregon University in years past.  Thank you also to our many Event Supervisors -- scientists, engineers, science teachers, and other science enthusiasts -- who donated their time and talent to help our students.  If you would like to see results from last year's tournament (and other past tournaments), please click here.   Please note that some events change or rotate across the years. The Science Olympiad national organization does this to keep the events challenging.

We are currently in the process of posting new information to our Upcoming Tournaments page.  This includes the final schedule of events.

If you are a business or science-related organization interested in meeting some of Oregon's brightest science students and handing out information and/or advertisements, please contact us. One of our goals is to form connections between Oregon science students and people who “do science” and “do engineering” in the outside world, and we can work out a plan specific to your group.

Winners at the Oregon State Science Olympiad are invited to participate in the prestigious Science Olympiad National Competition. This is an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to win college scholarships.  You can learn more about this year's -- an upcoming -- national tournaments on the official 2017 Science Olympiad brochure.

"The Oregon Science Olympiad program provides a highly motivating mix of collaboration and competition, centered around exactly what we need American students competing at now: science and engineering."
